Because every child deserves to be great at math.

Zeno is doubling down to close the opportunity gap in math. Along with our dedicated Board of Directors and staff, I’m thrilled to announce this exciting evolution for Zeno and what it means for our community.

Zeno is focusing our resources exclusively on communities with the greatest need and has expanded our programs to engage children in positive math experiences even earlier in life.

As you know, not all children have access to the same opportunities to develop competence and confidence in math. This creates an opportunity gap that is leaving some students behind. If we can step in and encourage a love for math early in a child’s life, everything can change.

So what’s next?

  • While we have always sought to serve schools and community organizations that need us the most, this renewed focus will direct all of Zeno’s resources toward communities of greatest need based on socioeconomic factors and performance on state math assessments.
  • We will expand our services to the littlest learners, ages 3-5, which will bring fun and engaging math opportunities to families in order to ensure children arrive to kindergarten ready to learn.
  • We’re revamping our core programming to go deeper and make an even stronger impact at the elementary school level.

With gratitude,

Julie Marl
Interim Executive Director
