Seattle MathFest 2018 Needs You!

When: Thursday, November 8th
Where: Rainier Community Center – 4600 38th Ave S, Seattle, WA, 98118

We need you to join us at the biggest math party around to show families and community members math like they’ve never seen it before! Volunteers are needed to play games with kids and families, run event registration, and more.

MathFest is a great opportunity for groups to volunteer together! If you would like to bring a work or school group to volunteer at MathFest, contact Iuliia Dmitrieva at or (206)325-0774.

Seattle MathFest Volunteer Shift:

Set up (3:30 pm – 4:30 pm)
Assist staff with event set up.

Volunteer training and main event (4:00 – 7:30 pm)
You will receive instruction on your volunteer assignment, ranging from how to play math games and activities with elementary students, to registering guests, to hospitality tasks, and be ready to welcome families when the event starts at 5 p.m.

Breakdown + Clean up (7:30 pm – 8:00 pm)
Assist staff with cleaning up the event space and packing up materials.

Washington State Patrol background check required. All volunteers will be asked to submit full name and date of birth for the background check, and to accept our code of conduct with children.

Parking/Transit: There are several bus stops and the Columbia City light rail station that are walking distance from the community center.

There is also a parking lot located at the community center. Please be advised that space is limited in this lot, and Zeno and the Rainier Community Center are not responsible for damages or lost valuables as result of parking in this lot.
