What: Seattle MathFest 2017
When: Thursday, November 2nd, 2017
Where: Rainier Community Center, 4600 38th Ave. S., Seattle, WA 98118
We need you to join us at the biggest math party around to show families and community members math like they’ve never seen it before! Volunteers are needed to play games with kids and families, run event registration, serve food, and set up and break down the event.
You may sign up for one shift or stay for the whole event. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt and light refreshments.

Seattle MathFest Volunteer Shifts:
Event set up (3:30 pm – 4:30 pm)
Hang signs, set up game booths, set up computers for registration, etc.
Volunteer training and main event (4:00 pm – 7:30 pm)
You will receive instruction on your volunteer assignment, ranging from how to play math games and activities with elementary students, to registering guests, to hospitality tasks, and be ready to welcome families when the event starts at 5 p.m.
Event take down (7:30 pm – 8:00 pm)
You will help remove signage, take down game booths, close out computers used for registration, etc.
Washington State Patrol background check required. All volunteers will be asked to submit full name and date of birth for the background check, and to accept our code of conduct with children.
Parking/Transit: Parking is available in the community center lot and surrounding neighborhood. Light Rail and Metro buses stop nearby, see Metro website for public transportation details.
