Zeno Math Is Training Series

This offering includes 10 hours of direct, synchronous, virtual instruction to support early childhood professionals in developing their own math practice and in engaging diverse families through the lens of racial equity, family engagement, and play.
Sessions will bring together racial equity, Zeno’s five practices, and early math skills development. Each workshop employs the use of the 5C’s of learning – connectedness, conversation, curiosity, consideration, and community and culture – to create a successful learning environment.
Providers will connect math to racial equity, social emotional learning, literature, as well as reflect on learnings and receive support to develop an action plan to apply concepts into their own practice. All cohort participants will receive resources in the form of handouts and Zeno game kits for use in their own learning environment.
Cohort is eligible for 10 STARS Hours and is funded by the Department of Children, Youth, and Family Services.
