Favorite Number: 14
Favorite Pet Never Owned: Turtle
Hometown: Plano, TX

A Boeing engineer by trade, David first started volunteering with Zeno at our Seattle MathFest event in November 2016. Since then, you may have seen him building math game kits for the MathWays for Early Learning program, volunteering at Make a Move for Math, or leading volunteers at a MathFest event. David was drawn to Zeno because it provides a great way to teach STEM concepts at an early age. From his perspective as an engineer, he feels that “being part of Zeno’s effort is an important way to create more future interest in the STEM field.” In addition to loving Zeno’s mission, David comes back time and again because of the great staff members and fellow volunteers he gets to work with.

In addition to lending his time and talent to Zeno, David volunteers with Math is Cool, an organization that runs competitions and tests that help kids of all grade levels hone their math skills. When not helping kids learn to love math, you can find David volunteering for a variety of nonprofit organizations, as well as beer and wine festivals. During football season, look for him decked out in Maroon cheering on the Aggies!
