Juan Manuel Flores, Jr.

Program Coordinator

Passionate about equity, Juan was a case manager with Communities in Schools and served as an AmeriCorps City Year member before joining Zeno. Juan believes that “education is a basic human right and the more we help educate and empower, the more it will help liberate communities of color from systematic oppression.” He is thrilled to be a part of the Zeno team and respects how Zeno is willing to adapt and grow according to the needs of the community. It should come as no surprise that Juan’s favorite number is infinity as it represents the endless amount of opportunities for our communities.

Juan had many great math teachers in his life, but his 1st grade teacher sticks out the most. His teacher saw how much love Juan had for math and allowed him to learn from the 2nd grade curriculum and later on join a math club to continue fostering his love of the subject. When not inspiring kids to love math, you can find Juan with his friends, having conversations about equity, liberation, and decolonization. An avid movie lover you can also find Juan catching movies wherever he can.
